Kids Feet

Supporting healthy development from the ground up

Children’s feet grow and change rapidly, especially in the early years. Regular foot checks can help identify issues early and ensure your child develops proper alignment, posture, and mobility.

Common Pediatric Foot Conditions We Treat:

  • Flat Feet (Pes Planus): A common condition where the arch of the foot is not visible when standing. Most cases resolve naturally, but some may require treatment if pain or dysfunction occurs.
  • Intoeing and Out Toeing: These are common gait patterns in young children. Evaluation helps determine whether treatment or simply monitoring is appropriate.
  • Heel Pain (Sever’s Disease): Often seen in active children during growth spurts. It involves inflammation of the growth plate in the heel and responds well to conservative care.
  • Osgood Schlatter Disease
  • Warts and Skin Issues: Children are prone to developing plantar warts or calluses due to barefoot activity or tight footwear.
  • Toenail Problems: Ingrown toenails and fungal infections are common and can be safely treated in the clinic.

When to See a Chiropodist:

  • Your child complains of foot or leg pain
  • Frequent tripping, limping, or uneven walking
  • Uneven shoe wear or foot deformities
  • Skin or nail issues that don’t resolve on their own

How We Can Help:

  • Comprehensive gait and foot assessments
  • Custom orthotics for alignment and support
  • Footwear advice tailored to your child’s needs
  • Gentle treatment options designed for young patients

Did you know? Children’s foot bones are soft and flexible. Poor footwear or untreated foot issues can lead to long-term problems. Early care makes a big difference.
